What Disability Support Services Do You Offer? A Quick Guide from Lumia Care

Navigating disability services can feel like a lot to take on. Whether you're stepping into the NDIS for the first time or managing complex needs every day, the process isn’t always straightforward. At Lumia Care, we’re here to take some of that weight off your shoulders — with services that adapt to you, not the other way around.

This quick guide walks you through what we offer, who we support, and how we work alongside families, support coordinators, and participants to make life feel that little bit lighter.

What Disability Services Do You Offer?

Lumia Care is a registered NDIS provider offering tailored disability support built around your goals, preferences and independence. Our services are designed to flex with you — from a few hours a week to 24/7 disability services.

We offer:

  • Daily personal care and domestic assistance

  • In-home nursing services, including medication support and wound care

  • Community access and social support

  • Allied health services (OT, physio, psychology – available in select areas)

  • Day programs focused on routine, connection, and creativity

  • Supported Independent Living (SIL) options

  • Short-term and emergency respite care

  • Services under iCare (NSW), TAC (VIC), and WorkSafe funding

  • Private disability care for clients not using government funding

Everything we do is about making your day-to-day life easier, safer, and more fulfilling.

Who Can Access Your Disability Support Services?

At Lumia Care, we support people across all stages of life — from teens building independence to adults with complex disability needs. Our clients include individuals with physical, intellectual or psychosocial disabilities, NDIS participants with high-level care requirements, and families needing flexible respite care.

We also work with people transitioning from hospital to home, those living in or seeking Supported Independent Living (SIL), and clients managing their own care through self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans. For those outside government schemes, we offer reliable, private disability care built around your unique needs.

Each plan is carefully tailored, with close collaboration between our team, families, and coordinators to ensure the right mix of care, safety, and independence.

One family recently shared:

"I truly appreciate all the efforts from you, the Lumia team, and everyone in Cornell’s support team. Your letter to NDIA recommending 1:1 support made a real difference... Looking back on the past year of support provided by Lumia, we have seen visible and meaningful progress in Cornell’s development."

Even if you're not sure whether we can help — get in touch. We’re always happy to talk through your options.

What Makes Lumia Care Different?

We’re not a gig platform, and we’re not about one-size-fits-all care. At Lumia Care, we believe that real support is built on relationships, trust, and structure.

Here’s what sets us apart:

  • All care plans are clinically governed and led by experienced professionals

  • You’ll have a dedicated Case Manager who gets to know you and stays in touch

  • Our staff are qualified, NDIS-screened and matched thoughtfully

  • We focus on continuity — so you see familiar faces, not a revolving door

  • Our systems are designed to respond when life changes

  • And importantly, we lead with empathy. We show up prepared — and with heart.

Our commitment to quality extends across NDIS, iCare, TAC, and WorkSafe services — and to our private disability care clients too.

How Do You Work with Support Coordinators and LACs?

We love working alongside support coordinators and Local Area Coordinators (LACs) to create great outcomes for participants. Our intake process is fast — often within 24–48 hours — and our communication is clear from the start. Referrals are simple and streamlined, and we keep you in the loop at every step. You won’t need to chase us for updates.

We also ensure the plans we create are realistic, aligned to the participant’s goals, and make good use of their budget. In short, we’re here to make your job easier — not add complexity.

Where Are Your Services Available?

We currently operate in:

  • New South Wales

  • Victoria

  • South Australia

  • Western Australia

We’re actively expanding into more rural and regional areas. If you’re unsure whether we’re available in your location, reach out — your enquiry helps guide where we grow next.

We also provide disability and nursing services in areas underserved by traditional providers — with options for remote and regional support.

New to the NDIS? We’ve Got You.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. If you’re new to the NDIS or unsure how to get started, we’re here to guide you. Whether it’s a quick phone call, a referral from your support coordinator, or a short form submitted through our website — the first step is simple. From there, we’ll connect you with the right team and help you build a personalised plan that suits your goals and life.

We also support non-NDIS and private disability care clients — so if you're self-funded or transitioning from another provider, we can still help.

How Do You Support Families and Carers?

We understand how personal this is. Letting someone into your home and trusting them with your loved one’s wellbeing is a big step — and one we take seriously.

That’s why we build familiarity and trust with regular, reliable support workers. We keep communication open and respectful, stay flexible when life changes, and aim to create a true partnership with you — one that eases the juggle and brings some peace of mind.

Let’s Build the Right Support, Together.

You’ve seen what we do — now let’s create a care plan that fits your life.

At Lumia Care, we combine clinical quality with real compassion. Whether it’s daily support, complex needs, or just someone you can rely on, we’re here to make things easier — with services that move at your pace, not ours.
