Commonwealth Home Support Program

As we age, everyday tasks can become more challenging—but that doesn’t mean you have to give up your independence. The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) is designed to provide just the right amount of support, helping you stay safe, active, and comfortable in your own home for as long as possible.

At Lumia Care, we’re here to make sure you get the help you need while staying in control of your life. Whether it’s a little extra help around the house, support with personal care, or transport to get you out and about, our goal is to empower you to live the way you want—on your terms.

Compassionate Care For Your Loved Ones

CHSP empowers older Australians to live independently with dignity. At Lumia Care, we provide tailored, entry-level support that works with individuals to meet their needs and delay higher-level care, ensuring peace of mind for families and quality of life for loved ones.

Is CHSP Right for You?

If you’re starting to find certain daily tasks harder than they used to be but still want to stay independent at home, CHSP could be a great fit for you.

You may be eligible if you are:

65 years or older (50+ for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people).
50 years or older (45+ for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people) and on a low income, homeless, or at risk of homelessness.

To find out if you qualify, you’ll need an aged care assessment, which will determine what services would best support your needs.

If your care needs are more complex, a Home Care Package (HCP) may be a better option, providing more comprehensive assistance. Our team can help guide you through the process and explore the best solution for your needs.
