NDIS Services
Helping You Make the Most of Your NDIS Plan
Navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can feel complicated, but you don’t have to do it alone. At Lumia Care, we provide NDIS-funded disability support designed to help you live independently, stay connected, and achieve your personal goals.
As a registered NDIS provider, we offer in-home, community, and clinical support services across Australia, helping participants make the most of their funding, build independence, and improve their quality of life. In line with the provisions of your NDIS plan, we can provide personal care, support to stay socially active, or specialised nursing care.

What is the NDIS?
The NDIS is an Australian Government initiative that provides funding for people with a permanent and significant disability. It is designed to give you choice and control over the supports you receive, ensuring they align with your goals and needs.
Through the NDIS, you can access a variety of support services, including help with daily living tasks, personal care, and assistance in the home. The scheme funds community participation programs that help you stay socially connected, as well as allied health therapies such as physiotherapy and speech pathology. If you need specialist disability accommodation, home modifications, assistive technology, or mobility aids, the NDIS can provide financial assistance to ensure your environment is safe and accessible.
If you are not sure how to apply for, manage, or review your NDIS plan, our NDIS Disability Coordinators can help you understand your options and make the most of your funding.
Who Can Access NDIS Support?
Not everyone with a disability automatically qualifies for NDIS funding, so it is important to check your eligibility. The NDIS is available to Australians aged 7 to 65 who have a permanent and significant disability that impacts daily life. You may be eligible if you require ongoing support, assistive technology, or modifications to improve your independence and quality of life.
If you are unsure whether you qualify, visit the NDIS website or speak with our team for guidance.

NDIS-Funded Nursing & Clinical Services
If your NDIS plan includes health or medical support, our registered nurses can provide professional care in your home, ensuring you stay well and manage your condition safely. This can help reduce hospital visits and give you peace of mind knowing expert care is available when needed.
Our NDIS-funded nursing services include wound care to promote healing and prevent infection, continence and catheter support for bladder and bowel care, and diabetes management to help monitor blood sugar levels and provide ongoing support.
For those with more complex medical needs, we also offer assistance with PEG and stoma care, support for pressure sores and skin integrity, and 24-hour and overnight nursing for those needing ongoing clinical care.
Our nurses work closely with you, your healthcare team, and your NDIS plan manager to ensure you receive the right level of care.

Allied Health & Therapy Services Covered by NDIS
For many people, therapy and rehabilitation play an essential role in maintaining independence and improving quality of life. If your NDIS plan includes allied health services, we can connect you with trusted professionals who specialise in a range of therapies tailored to your needs.
Occupational therapy helps with home modifications, mobility aids, and daily tasks, ensuring you can move safely and complete everyday activities with greater ease.
Physiotherapy supports movement, flexibility, and strength, assisting with recovery after injury or improving mobility long-term.
If you need support with mental health and emotional well-being, psychology and behaviour support services are available to help develop coping strategies and improve quality of life.
For participants experiencing communication or swallowing difficulties, speech therapy provides techniques and tools to enhance speech and language skills.
Additionally, dietitian and nutrition services assist with meal planning and dietary support, ensuring you receive proper nutrition to maintain overall health and well-being.
We take the time to understand your needs and goals, ensuring you have access to the right therapy services in line with your NDIS plan to support all aspects of your well-being.
