Community Support Worker - Googong

About the Role:

Sydney - Lumia Care is seeking experienced Support Workers in the Canberra Region to join our team and deliver high-quality, individualised care to clients located in Googong.  

Role Type:

Casual

Support Services would include: 

  • Personal care and hygiene support 

  • Community access: social activities, appointments, shopping, groceries 

  • Social, emotional and behavioral support 

  • Domestic assistance (cleaning, meal prep, etc.) 

  • Maintain the day to day house chores 

 What we can offer for you: 

  • Fixed rosters from Monday to Friday 

  • On going and long hours 

  • Work close to home

 What we are looking for: 

  • Experience supporting clients with complex psychosocial needs 

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health, or equivalent is a must 

  • Strong communication and behavior support skills 

  • Empathetic, reliable, and calm under pressure 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team 

 Mandatory Requirements: 

  • Current First Aid Certificate 

  • Valid Police Check 

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check 

  • Working with Children Check 

  • Full Australian Work Rights 

  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
