Community Support Worker - Hope Island

Role Responsibilities:

• High-care needs clients requiring assistance in personal care and the use of a hoist.

• Must be competent in manual handling.

• Varied shifts - Monday -Friday and weekends (AM and PM shifts).

• Support clients in our community needing assistance with social support, transport to appointments and community outings.

• Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing.

• Continue to support clients to live in their own homes by providing help with their meal preparation, cleaning and, most importantly, companionship.
  

What we are looking for:

• A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST.

• Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is a MUST. 

• Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.

• Experience in either disability or community is a MUST.

• Experience with high and complex care is a MUST.

• A valid driver's license and own vehicle is a MUST.

• Current First Aid certificate (mandatory) or willing to obtain.

• Current Police Check (mandatory) or willing to obtain.

• NDIS Worker screening check or willing to obtain.

• Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
