Community Support Worker - Stanmore & surrounding suburbs

About the Role:

Sydney - Lumia Care company presents an exciting opportunity for Community Support Workers to assist our clients in Stanmore and nearby suburbs. 
 
Immediate start for successful candidates!  
  
We require a candidate who has experience in hoist, personal care and able to drive the client's mobility van. The unfilled service hours are Monday to Friday from 7am - 4pm and weekend services.

Role responsibilities: 

• High care needs client requiring assistance in personal care, hoist, manual handling competent, domestic assistance, varied shifts - day and over-night during weekdays.  

• Support clients in our community needing assistance with social support, transport to appointments, shopping or community outings. 

• Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing. 

• Continue to support clients to live in their own home by providing help with their domestic assistance, meal preparation, cleaning and most importantly, companionship. 

What we are looking for: 

• A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST. 

• Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training. 

• Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly desirable. 

• Experience in either aged care or community is highly desirable. 

• A valid driver's license and own vehicle is a MUST. 

• Current First Aid certificate (mandatory) or willing to obtain. 

• Current Police Check (mandatory) or willing to obtain. 

• NDIS Worker screening check or willing to obtain. 

• Working with Children Check or willing to obtain.
