About the Role:

Sydney - We’re looking for a young, vibrant, and outgoing Support Worker to assist a client recovering from a traumatic brain injury sustained in a motor vehicle accident. The client has right-side physical impairment and is seeking someone who can provide not just care—but companionship, positivity, and a shared love for the outdoors

About the Client: 

  • Lives with a traumatic brain injury, affecting the right side of the body 

  • Communicates loudly due to pre-injury-related deafness – needs a support worker with proactive, positive communication skills 

  • Enjoys outdoor settings, especially going to cafes, beaches, and drives 

  • Values independence, routine, and engaging conversation 

Your Role Includes: 

  • Providing minimal personal care support (assistance with dressing as needed) 

  • Supporting domestic tasks around the house 

  • Driving to and from outings, appointments, and shopping trips 

  • Being a social companion who encourages participation and engagement in community life 

Ideal Candidate Profile: 

  • Energetic, outgoing, and confident communicator

  • Comfortable working with clients with loud speech or hearing impairments 

  • Owns a reliable car with full licence (essential) 

  • Passionate about promoting client independence and lifestyle choices 

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injury or physical impairments is highly regarded 

Availability: 

  • 20 hours per week 

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM 

  • Additional hours may be offered at the discretion of the Care Coordinator 

Mandatory Requirements: 

  • Current First Aid Certificate 

  • Current Police Check 

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check 

  • Working with Children Check 

  • Valid Australian Work Rights 

  • Driver’s licence and own vehicle
