Lumia Care Sydney is looking for experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our dedicated team in the Campbelltown & Blacktown area. About the Role:

As a Support Worker with Lumia Care, you’ll provide high-quality, individualised support across SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes, Day Programs, and community settings.

You’ll be carefully matched with clients based on your experience, skills, and care compatibility—ensuring you can deliver the best possible outcomes.

Our clients have diverse and complex needs, including:

  • Intellectual disabilities

  • Psychosocial conditions such as CPTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

  • Mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation

  • Physical health conditions such as asthma and other complexities

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience supporting individuals with complex psychosocial and physical needs

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health, or equivalent (essential)

  • Strong communication skills and experience with behavior support

  • A calm, empathetic, and reliable approach

  • Manual handling and personal care experience (essential)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts

Role responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-level personal care with dignity and respect

  • Perform manual handling tasks, including transfers and mobility support

  • Support clients with community access (appointments, social activities, shopping)

  • Provide behavioral, emotional, and social support

  • Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation

  • Promote independence, safety, and overall wellbeing

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Current First Aid Certificate

  • Police Check

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Working with Children Check

  • Full Australian work rights

  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
