Mental Health Support Worker

About the Role:

Sydney - We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate female Support Worker to provide specialised support to clients experiencing extreme mental health challenges, including suicidal ideations and self-harming behaviours. If you have a strong background in mental health and want to make a meaningful difference, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide trauma-informed, compassionate support to clients with complex mental health needs 

  • Engage clients in daily activities and support routines that promote recovery, safety, and stability 

  • Assist with transportation to appointments and community access 

  • Promote independence, emotional resilience, and quality of life 

  • Communicate effectively with the broader support team and escalate concerns appropriately 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Mental Health, or relevant Certifications (mandatory) 

  • Proven experience supporting individuals with suicidal ideation or self-harming behaviours 

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills 

  • A non-judgmental, calm, and empathetic approach to care 

  • A valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle 

  • Must be able to commit to regular shifts (exact schedule to be discussed) 

  • No age preference – we welcome candidates with experience and maturity 

  • While this role is for a female support worker, we welcome male applicants to join our talent pool for future opportunities. 

Mandatory Requirements: 

  • Current First Aid Certificate 

  • Current Police Check 

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check 

  • Working with Children Check 

  • Full Australian Work Rights
