About the Role:
Canberra - Are you a passionate and skilled Support Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of people living with disabilities?
Lumia Care is seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team and deliver high-quality, individualised care to clients in the Canberra Region.
You will be matched with clients based on your qualifications, experience, and care compatibility. Services are provided across SIL houses, Private Homes and Community setting.
Role Type:
Casual
Support Services May Include:
High personal care and hygiene support
High manual handling tasks (transfers, mobility assistance)
Community access: social activities, appointments, shopping, groceries
Social and emotional support
Domestic assistance (cleaning, meal prep, etc.)
What We’re Looking For:
Experience supporting clients with complex psychosocial and physical needs
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health, or equivalent is a must
Strong communication and behaviour support skills
Empathetic, reliable, and calm under pressure
Manual handling training and personal care experience (essential)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, overnights, and public holidays
Mandatory Requirements:
Current First Aid Certificate
Valid Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check
Full Australian Work Rights
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
