Who Can Work in Community Nursing in Australia?
Community nursing provides a dynamic and adaptable career path for nursing professionals with various skill sets. We can accommodate the following nurses in this setting:

Registered Nurses (RNs)
Registered Nurses in community care work independently or as part of a team, delivering essential healthcare services in home and community settings. Depending on the role, you may provide medication management, wound care, and health education. Some roles focus on post-hospital recovery, while others involve coordinating patient care plans and liaising with healthcare providers to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Enrolled Nurses (ENs) (Including Medication Endorsed ENs)
Enrolled Nurses play a critical role in supporting patients under the supervision of an RN. Depending on your qualifications and the role, you may be involved in monitoring patient health, assisting with mobility, and administering medications if endorsed. ENs in community nursing often work in aged care, disability support, and general home healthcare, ensuring clients receive ongoing medical and personal care tailored to their needs.

Assistants in Nursing (AINs) and Personal Care Workers (PCWs)
AINs and PCWs provide valuable day-to-day support to clients in their homes and the community. Depending on the role, you may assist with personal care tasks such as hygiene, dressing, and mobility assistance, as well as offer companionship and social engagement. In some cases, you may also support nurses with basic health monitoring and patient well-being checks.

Nurse Practitioners (NPs) (For Advanced Community Roles)
Nurse Practitioners play a crucial role in complex patient care in community settings. You may diagnose and manage chronic conditions, prescribe medications, or support high-risk patients who require specialised healthcare. NPs often work in palliative care, aged care, and hospital-in-the-home programs, bringing expert-level care directly to patients who need it most.
